The Editorial Board of the Journal of Research in Applied Linguistics hereby retracts the article titled:
"Intimidation in Political Rhetoric: Analysing Threats in Joe Biden's Presidential Speeches"
Authors:
This retraction follows formal allegations submitted by Dr. Rabab'ah, University of Sharjah, and Dr. Sharif Alghazo, The University of Jordan. The complainants provided documented evidence—including email correspondences, earlier drafts, and a Turnitin similarity report—demonstrating that the published article was a revised version of their original collaborative work with Dr. Noureddine Derki. Additionally, they stated that Dr. Otmane Abdelkader Drissi was added as a co-author without their knowledge or consent.
After a thorough investigation, the Editorial Board concluded that the publication involved serious ethical violations, including misappropriation of intellectual content and unauthorized authorship attribution. In accordance with the journal’s commitment to academic integrity and publication ethics, the article is hereby formally retracted.
We apologize to our readers and to the academic community for any inconvenience caused by this incident.
